About Jersey Girl Bagels University
Jersey Girl Bagels is a local, family owned and operated business. We are all about providing to our local community an authentic NJ bagel experience with SUNSHINE & BAGELS. All bagel dough is made from scratch daily, cold proofed, boiled in a large kettle, placed on burlap covered boards before going into a old school revolving tray oven and then finally flipped off the boards onto the oven shelves which are made of large stones. This traditional process is much more labor intensive than some of the newer methods of making a bagel but we truly believe you get a better product doing it the traditional way.

I just relocated from Jersey and probably had one of the best bagels in North Jersey that you could possibly have, that was two weeks ago. I have to say that Jersey Girl bagels really hit the spot for a Florida bagel it’s amazing how crispy they got crust and how much body yet lightness inside out. I got two everything flagel vacuum sealed one for another day and made cream cheese and capers bagel with some homemade lox. It was a home run! Jersey girl bagels I will be back.!

Wowwwww. Incredible bagels! Probably the softest bagel I’ve ever bit into. And im from NJ! Such a cute store too they even have a window showing everything being made in the back. A must try. Im a forever customer now!

Just had the Asiago bagel breakfast sandwich with bacon and egg & mayo, it’s probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life. It’s a must if you’re in Sarasota. I highly recommend.

Ok, new Sarasota resident here from NJ. I have been dying to try these bagels and had an opportunity to do so finally. From the beautiful display, to the friendly smiles and quick service to the absolutely amazing breakfast sandwiches that our group had, it definitely surpassed our expectations. We enjoyed our sandwiches so much, that I could not leave without taking home a bakers dozen. I, personally had the egg everything bagel with sausage egg and cheese and it was delicious! Everyone in my group said that the bagels were awesome and that they loved what they ordered as well. I want to thank Kai, Casie and Rick for giving me a warm welcome as a new customer and a new resident as well. If you are looking for a great New York/New Jersey type of bagel, this place is fantastic!

This is a great bagel place! The bagels are overall crisp yet chewy. The day-old bags are a steal! We usually grab a deli sand-which on a bagel and it is so consistently great. Weekends are pretty busy but we never wait too long.
